As I venture into a new world, I promised to myself that I will make the most out of my life by doing things that I haven't done before. So to start off, early this year I experienced my first trekking/hiking. Yes I know, I don't appear like I will endure climbing a mountain for hours but I MADE IT. YES I MADE IT even though it took me longer than the other but at least. :) I remember a line from the movie 'The Thing Called Tadhana' where Angelica said "Mabagal pero kakayanin" Of course, this has been my mantra all throughout the climb haha :) 

For my first ever hike, me and my friend decided to climb Mt. Pico de Loro  at Ternate, Cavite. The weather is perfect for climbing during this time of the year because it's not too hot and the path of Mt. Pico De Loro has plenty of trees that's why we didn't experience too much heat. We start our climb around 7:00am at the Ternate side of Pico De Loro. You can actually climb Pico coming from the other side which is from Batangas. 

There were instances where the path was so steep so, we took extra care while going up. It took us 3 hours to reach the campsite of Pico De Loro. There are stores in the campsite but we have our own food so we just find a perfect place to lay our things and eat!

That is the summit of Mt. Pico De Loro. I did not go to the summit because my heart fainted when I saw how people went up. Maybe next time xx

It was a fun and exciting adventure to climb a mountain. I never thought it would be this memorable. To be honest, I tripped 6 times on our way back! Hahaha But that did not kill the happiness that I felt for being able to conquer Mt. Pico De Loro. :)

This is just first of the many mountains that I will climb. Looking forward to conquering more mountains!
